Overall Purpose:


Reporting to the Insurance Manager the primary role is to support ICoE team members in carrying out day to day insurance, underwriting and claims processes for a panel of AIM clients.

Ensuring that office and client business strategies, plans and insurance programme placements are achieved and that administration excellence is provided to clients.

Over time the role will progress to take primary responsibility for a portfolio of AIM clients under the supervision of the Insurance Manager and Operational Executive


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Ensure that AIM and client deadlines in respect of insurance, underwriting and claims processes are met, at all times within the requisite procedures and practices and to the agreed service
  • Monitor renewal deadlines for all clients and be proactive in starting renewal
  • Assist with underwriting assessment and premium
  • First review of (re)insurance documentation to ensure it aligns with the agreed terms and
  • Monitoring and chasing premiums receipts, reinsurance recoveries, commissions and brokerage payments etc.
  • Review and processing of claims notifications, bordereaux & loss adjusters reports etc ensuring accuracy and that they are processed within a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the accounting staff to ensure all insurance matters are correctly reflected in the management accounts.
  • Preparation of all insurance related matters for client Board and UCC
  • Support of &/or presentation of insurance related matters to client Directors at Board & UCC
  • Preparing the first draft of minutes for allocated meetings to be circulated for internal review within 7 days following the meeting date
  • Development of sound business relations with client staff responsible for insurance related matters and the delivery of a highquality service, ensuring that all client service standards are met for the client base.
  • Development of excellent working relationships with the following parties:
  • AIM colleagues working on client account
  • Guernsey Financial Services Commission
  • Auditors
  • Liaison with auditors and other third parties as necessary in order to ensure client annual accounts are signed off in a timely manner.
  • Following the Office Procedures Manual and client specific procedures manuals, contributing to the constant improvement and updating of these documents. Identifying efficiencies in working practices and implementing them
  • Updating the GFSC of changes in business
  • Consideration of current and existing client insurance programmes and development
  • Ensure clients are kept abreast of all relevant information in connection with Aon, ACSG and the insurance markets worldwide.
  • Work closely with team colleagues on a proactive basis toward achieving both AIM and client
  • Any other projects or work as assigned by the management team, delivering to any set timescale

  • Previous experience within the captive insurance industry is
