DC50- Contracts Supervisor

Location - Gravesend / Various Site Locations

Salary - £50,000 to £55,000 DOE + Company Car

Overview

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our Client to recruit a Contracts Supervisor to join their Head Office team based in Gravesend.

However, the role is not office focused and the incumbent can expect to spend the majority of their timevisiting and working from various Client sites/projects.

Our Client specialises in scaffolding services and they are looking to regrow considerably in the immediate future.

They undertake projects ranging from £100K to £20M across London and the South East, with occasional projects in other regions such as Birmingham,Cambridge, Oxford and Southampton etc.


Key Responsibilities

  • Control of all contract production operationally and commercially, ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
  • The Contracts Supervisor reports both to the Senior Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Manager, whilst liaising with all other departmental staff.
  • The Contracts Supervisor will undertake both smallscale and largescale contracts as required to serve the needs of the business.
  • Where applicable, the Contracts Supervisor may assist or be required to temporarily fulfil roles upstream or downstream of their operational command.

Other Responsibilities

  • Undertake Organisational Control of contracts.
  • Control contract financial aspects.
  • Promote and maintain an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Providing leadership support function to teams and motivate staff to achieve production and financial targets.
  • Manage site budgets and costs effectively via productivity monitoring, assisting Site Management Supervision where also required.
  • Support the company in production planning and precommencement activities to ensure the business is adequately resourced.
  • Ensure training of all site managers, supervisors and operatives (including subcontractors) within contracts is kept up to date, ensuring all are adequately trained and provided with the correct materials and equipment to adequately undertake their dutieswithin the contracts they are serving.
  • Maintain legal compliance on behalf of the company and our clients.
  • Audit allocated projects generally and scaffolding structures with regard compliance to company requirements, policy, procedures and industry guidance.
  • Ensure industry best practice is implemented and maintained across contracts, with immediate focus on safety, working at height and lifting / plant operations.
  • Identify nonconformity to Contract Supervision, Site Managers and Supervisors.
  • Represent the company in a professional capacity at all times, working closely with clients, employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure programme (contract and target) are formulated then progressed to time, quality, specification and budget in accordance with the Company/Department KPIs.
  • Always ensure that sites are managed safely by inspection/check.

Training/Qualification Requirements

  • CISRS Advanced Card/CISRS Supervisor.
  • CISRS Advanced Inspection.
  • HAKI Inspection.
  • HAKI SSPTS [desirable].
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS.
  • TWS (Temporary Works Supervisor).
  • First Aid (1 day).
