Job summary:


  • To deliver the 1st line support of equipment and technical systems to a professional standard and to meet user requirements. Manage and control the issue, returns, disposal and transfer of sensitive equipment on the dept. stock control system. Maintaining equipment, spares and associated consumables at agreed levels, upgrading technical equipment as required, recording actions and updating the stock control system.

Job description:

You will be responsible for managing the equipment stores at your location. You will oversee the issue, returns, transfer or disposal of equipment.

Where equipment is reported as faulty you will carry out an initial assessment, deciding if you can repair it, arrange repair by the manufacturer or if it is beyond economical repair.

You will need to engage with equipment specialists, suppliers and manufacturers and have an analytical mind and good fault finding skills.


You will need good IT skills and confidence in using a database to record all new equipment and maintain the history of operational equipment including modification updates.

At specified periods you will also be responsible for delivering equipment audits and reporting on the results.

As well as arranging the transfer of equipment across the country you may also be required to deliver it in person as well as temporary work at other Tech Ops locations.


Person specification:


You will be supporting Technical Operations in maintaining Technical capabilities on behalf of the NCA to the highest standards and support Tech Ops equipment delivery programmes.

You will work to maintain a robust, auditable system at your unit for controlling the issue, returns and transfer of equipment in line with SOPs.

You will also maintain or organise the repair of equipment or subsequent disposal ensuring accurate records of all activity are maintained.

You will need to comply with Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments in line with operational procedures.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster productive working relationships and collaborative working.


Licences:


  • Full UK driving License

Qualifications:


  • The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:
  • ONC BTEC L3 in Electronics, Technology, Engineering or equivalent Level 3 technical qualification (A level or AS level).
  • Please ensure the dates of any accreditations you are relying on, are entered on to the CV.
  • Should you progress to the assessment stage of the process, you will be required to provide a copy of the original certificate.

  • Proven experience of working within a team, working to tight deadlines within a dynamic environment.
