Based:
Tring

You will be on-site 5 days a week hours with an early finish on Fridays.

This role focuses on:
The preparation, build and assembly of product to supply our Antenna Department.

Working within a multi-disciplined team of 3-4 people the individual will be involved in preparation, build and assembly of products with the expectations to improve current process and work within an agreed timeline.

Working to deliver industry leading satellite communications ground equipment for high profile organisations around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and use drawings, process procedures and other written documentation to complete preparation and assembly of components.
Fabricate simpler components using various items including hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, drills, taps, saws and other tools and tooling.
Form, prepare and align aluminium, copper and brass waveguide rectangle tubing along with associated bracketing and hardware.
Braze, solder and bond tubing as required using a straight sections and cast bends. Mount various assemblies and components.
Perform required metal treatment processes per documented procedures and work instructions; processes include polishing, painting, and pressure testing.
Assist in the preparation of equipment for testing, maintaining traceability of all assemblies by means of serialization.
Meet documented specification requirements and quality standards in a cost effective and timely manner.
Clean, prepare and package equipment for shipping.
Maintain a neat, clean and organised work area.
Suggest changes for improved operations and cost savings.
Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner as required in the manufacturing process.
Follow all safety policies, precautions, recommendations and procedures as may be applicable.
Assist other production departments or operations areas based on workloads and needs. Assist in other nonproduction areas as may be required by supervision and management.
Follow all company policies, procedures and work instructions in compliance with Quality Management System.
Any other duties as and when required.
Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual.

Role Requirements:
Able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.

Required Skills and Experience:
Previous brazing experience would be advantageous.
