    Senior Business Analyst

    Hybrid (2 days a week in London)

    £60k

    To provide business efficiency, effectiveness and enhancement through changes in processes and technology across all of the clients Operating Businesses and stakeholders. Working across the Operating Businesses and with stakeholders, this role enables effective decision making and delivery across all stages of an initiative from Plan to Delivery.

    Responsibilities:

    • Elicitation and documentation of requirements through a range of appropriate techniques.
    • Manage and track ongoing changes to requirements, using agreed change control processes where required
    • Identify, analyse and document key business procedures, translating them into standard business process documentation in accordance with the clients organisational standards.
    • Identify, collate, analyse, recommend and present information to enable well informed decisions
    • Provide perspective and challenge end users to ensure requirements reflect business needs and align to wider T&D strategies.
    • Produce and review written documentation using appropriate structures, agreed templates and the clients quality assurance standards to ensure outputs are consistent and enable recipients to clearly understand the purpose and content of document
    • Lead the Business Analyst contribution on specific projects and/or initiatives,
    • Operational day-to-day supervision and quality assurance of all work outputs of Business Analysts assigned to projects and/or initiatives.
    • Plan and Manage own time and resources to deliver project objectives and activities within defined project scope, managing workflow, escalating and resolving work scheduling conflicts as appropriate.
    • Contribute to the successful procurement of products and services including supplier engagement
    • Contribute to the User Acceptance Testing and validation of outputs including generation of test UAT scripts, testing and recording defects and incidents, prioritisation, tracking and re-testing of defects to inform go-live decisions

    Requirements:

    • Being able to learn about a business quickly and filter information.
    • Good knowledge of Business Analysis techniques, tools and processes
    • Good awareness of current developments in IT, Public Transport and Payments industries
    • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE 2 )
    • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile and Waterfall)
    • Educated to a degree level or equivalent, ideally in computer science or IT disciplines, or with relevant demonstrable work experience
    • Experience in the public transport industry
    • Experience of eliciting, understanding and documenting business and system requirements
    • Experience of modelling, analysing and compiling business process documentation
    • Experience of Preparing and facilitating elicitation sessions, experience of communicating with stakeholders at all levels
    • Working in a dynamic working environment, handling, multiple tasks and deadlines, delivering to budget, time and quality
    • Conducting feasibility studies, preparing business cases and experience of, business process capture tools
    • Experience of working on IT development projects, preferably using iterative software techniques such as Agile
