What you'll do

Our Care Assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our service users. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported in their own homes, you'll follow individual Short Term Care at Home Plans, working with people to maximise independence where possible. This will include supporting with activities such as personal care (bathing, dressing, managing continence needs, medication support), shopping, mealtimes and light housework where needed. You'll be supported by a close-knit care team and experienced managers.

What you'll need

You don't need any experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience. You'll be given all the training and mentoring you need to ensure you are fully equipped to complete the role to the best of your ability and make a real difference to the people of Lancashire. You will be asked to complete a robust training programme, with a blend of face-to-face training (paid), e-learning, and on-the-job mentoring, all combining to ensure you meet the standards of the Care Certificate.
