Business Development ManagerLocation: NorthamptonHours: 9am-5PMSiamo Group are working closely with a highly prestigious client for an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Manager.

The ideal candidate must be experienced in selling UK and European road freight with emphasis on full loads/part loads.


PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To support the Branch and Branch Manager in maintaining current customer accounts as well as procuring new customers. Ensuring that excellent customer service is always provided.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish own leads and target via telesales and/or email campaigns.
Proactively contact new customers according to targets mutually set & agreed with line Manager.
Actively sell and promote all the company's services once contact has been made.
Prepare any quotations as required by the customer and follow up as necessary.

Maintain an up-to-date record of the above four requirements and submit to line manager in report form on a weekly basis.

Proactive, professional & first-class customer service at all timesUsing sales management system to input customer details and carry out sales tasksSales Reporting using company software.

Both searching for possible tenders and progressing with current tendersWorking with the team to ensure that customer service is always maintainedCommunicate with all members of staff at all levelsTake reasonable care of your own and other people's Health & Safety in the workplace.

Report hazards in your work or in your work environment that may be putting your or anyone else's Health & Safety at risk.

REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL Flexible approach to duties and tasksGood understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor qualityConsistently manages the task in hand.
