- Lead electrical design projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
- Develop detailed electrical designs for LV and HV systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and specifications for components and materials.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project engineers, and procurement specialists, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed electrical designs, considering factors such as system performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the electrical engineering team.
- Perform site visits and inspections to assess electrical installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities as necessary, representing the electrical engineering team and providing technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to optimize the design and performance of LV and HV systems in marine energy projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, with a focus on LV and HV systems
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality electrical designs on time and within budget
