    Job Description

    As part of the Business Improvement & Decarbonisation team, provide the United Living Property Services business with a robust service including:

    • provision of technical advice and support on low carbon and energy efficiency services to internal and external clients
    • collaboration across the teams in the business, implement innovative projects and build a strong network within the decarbonisation / energy efficiency sector
    • maintaining up to date knowledge with regulatory, political, economic and social sustainability challenges that are faced by our industry, in particular the changing landscape in relation to government targets and funding opportunities.
    • manage / oversee the technical works delivered by the Decarbonisation Team

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of technical services by the Decarbonisation Team.
    • Make decisions on specific projects / activities to ensure successful completion.
    • Develop and implement relevant programmes to ensure projects / activities are completed on time.
    • Day to day supervision of members of the Decarbonisation Team and the delivery of their activities.
    • Regular reporting to the Business Improvement & Decarbonisation on the performance of a specific project / activity.
    • Assist the Business Improvement & Decarbonisation Director in the formulation of team strategies and new services.
    • Make recommendations and implement agreed changes to work practices in particular the Decarbonisation Team technical services.
    • Provide technical advice and support to project teams on decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures to the ULPS business unit.
    • Provide ongoing technical advice and support to project teams on the identification of new opportunities to the ULPS business unit.
    • Be able to utilise knowledge and experience to ensure solutions are given in a quick and efficient manner to ULPS and client personnel.
    • Prepare technical proposals to outline energy efficiency / decarbonisation solutions to agreed deadlines.
    • Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the sector through courses, workshops and seminars.
    • Engage with key supply chain partners to support the effective development and delivery of projects.
    • Liaise with the Bid Team in the production of SQ and tender submissions.
    • Attend internal and external project and company related meetings as appropriate.
    • Where appropriate, attend external events and represent ULPS at customer facing exhibitions and conferences.
    • Administration and submission of documents to funding partners to ensure draw down of funding.
    • Be adaptable to overcome a variety of queries / problems, escalating advanced queries to manager as necessary.
    • Analysis of housing stock data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency works.
    • Assist with the collation of relevant data and the preparation of reports to track the performance of energy efficiency schemes.
    • Assist with the development of marketing collateral to ensure effective communication of the team services.
    • Prepared to work in various geographical areas and attend other site locations across the UK.
    • Ensure that all emails and telephone calls are dealt with appropriately, professionally and in a timely manner.
    • To liaise with all staff, clients, consultants and residents in a professional manner, maintaining and developing

    Qualifications

    • Hold or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
    • Hold or working towards Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
    • Holds other relevant qualification(s) related to the energy performance of buildings.
    • Experienced in researching, analysing, interpreting, and presenting findings and targets to various stakeholders.
    • Experience in the delivery of energy efficiency / decarbonisation programmes.
    • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to review detail quickly and accurately from numerous documents.
    • Ability to liaise with external organisations working to strict deadlines.
    • Be able to work within a fast-paced changing environment.
    • Be an effective communicator, data driven and excellent at collaboration to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Flexible, self-motivated, passionate and reliable.
    • Experience of working the social housing sector.
