Our client Envision are an established, rapidly expanding manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Tooling Maintenance Technician to join their team.


This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of a rapidly growing marketplace.


Overall Purpose:

  • Your skills and ideas will be welcomed and serve to strengthen our existing highly skilled maintenance teams who will support and assist you in your career journey.

Key Duties:


  • Working alongside a team of Maintenance Technicians providing breakdown response and process improvements, reduce premature failures to help improve MTBF.
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned Tool exchanges and Preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Complete administrative tasks using a Maintenance Management System.
  • Precision maintenance and grinding of complex dies and cutting tools set to micron tolerances.
  • CNC and Manual Milling and turning of components produced from Engineering plastics, Various alloys and stainless steels.
  • WEDM Programming, operation and maintenance.
  • Component inspection using Video measuring equipment and standard metrology equipment.
  • Support Company and Department objectives to improve OEE.
  • Undertake training/further learning as required.
  • Support new plant preparation, installation and commissioning with potential to travel.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Must be a time served mechanical craftsman, Toolmaker or Precision Machinist.
  • Educated to ONC/HNC NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence to read and interpret general assembly and component drawings of engineered parts.
  • Understand limits, fits and tolerance. Competent using metrology equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • PC literate with Basic use & knowledge of MS office packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook.

The Package:

- £45,978 per annum plus OTE.

  • Continental shift pattern 2 days, 2 nights 4 off on rotation.
