Job Profile:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator who can estimate large commercial office fit out tenders and opportunities.

This role is key to the company's future development and success in delivering a continuous flow of new business and identifying future opportunities in both competitive tendering and design & build projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • This is a handson role with the responsibility for the production of Electrical tenders for our inhouse team & subcontractors.
  • Producing Detailed Tender Bid's.
  • Producing Bill of Quantities.
  • Producing Technical documents in support of Tender Bid's.
  • Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender, send out RFIs where required.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon return.
  • Arrange and coordinate site inspections/surveys.
  • Manage and respond to tender enquiries.
  • Review enquiries and prepare takeoffs from drawings.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
  • The role requires a solid understanding of Electrical estimating and previous experience in the construction industry, ideally as an estimator in a similar role.
  • Established background in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Project & Bid Management.
  • Understand and interpret detailed technical works scope documentation, Identify, quantify and mitigate areas of commercial risk.
  • The ability to plan workload for themselves with others to ensure delivery to client deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the internal and external clients.
  • Updating of Senior Management Weekly on current tenders.

Skills Required:


  • Strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask.
  • Proficiency with MS Word & Excel.
  • Experience of Simpro software would be an advantage, though not essential as training will be provided.
  • Experience on Trimble software would be an advantage, though not essential as training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Dedicated, wellorganised and reliable.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
