    Job Description

    Project Manager - Infrastructure/ Construction

    3 months - outside IR35 - £400 a day

Leeds - hybrid working, some travel to their office and stations

We are currently working with a rail client to support on an interim basis their customer-facing infrastructure and station upgrades programme to improve accessibility across their stations. The Project Manager will be integral in supporting the delivery of station upgrades across their network.

The projects you will work on will depend on your experience, with this interim being responsible for managing projects concurrently across the portfolio, such as CIS or CCTV upgrades, installing lifts, and ensuring greater accessibility or security across their stations.

You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to delivery. Some projects have stalled, so a key challenge will be the initial communication piece to engage and understand where the projects are and what is required to drive them forward. You will focus on understanding potential risk/ issues throughout the project lifecycle and ensure these are mitigated with effective plans in place to enable successful delivery.

    The candidate must have:

    • Strong rail experience
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
    • Good organisational skills and being a self-starter to go out to build relationships quickly
    • 3rd party supplier management experience is desirable
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Prior experience working on infrastructure or construction upgrades
