A new opportunity to join a global leader who supply a wide range of high-quality machined components to aerospace OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers.
Due to significant growth in the aerospace sector we are now recruiting a Business Improvement Program Manager who will lead a comprehensive improvement program to enhance operational efficiencies in order to meet business targets.
The role presents an exciting opportunity to drive transformative change within the business whilst also equipping the candidate with valuable experience for future leadership roles within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead an integrated improvement program for current and new projects across the factory
Work closely with Managers and Stakeholders to ensure improvements in labour efficiency, product quality and working capital
Manage all activities within the improvement program and co-ordinate activities of a small team
Deployment of lean tools and techniques across the business and facilitate workshops to engage employees at all levels
Establish and monitor KPI's to track progress and drive accountability
Produce project data and reports
Oversee, transform and present findings and strategies to exec team
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Background in engineering or manufacturing, with early career experience in component manufacturing
Proven track record of hands-on leadership and delivering tangible results
Knowledge of lean tools and techniques; 5S, 8D, Single Piece flow
Hands on approach to problem solving and delivering results
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
High level of administrative skills
Confident producing and presenting reports and strategy to exec team
