    Title: Customer Engineer

    Location: Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr

    Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • To diagnose faults, make repairs and to replace modules on EPOS, Self-Checkouts, PCs, kiosks, and associated peripherals.
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory/region to ensure continuity of customer operations and a high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customers satisfaction and or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements
  • May require prolonged travel, carrying and lifting tool kit/parts of varying weights. May require bending/squatting, walking/standing /sitting for prolonged periods
  • The role requires the ability to work on your own with minimal supervision and to be able to manage your time effectively and pro-actively
  • Company vehicle with fuel card provided which can be used for personal use (BIK and usage fee per mile applies)
  • Tools/laptop/Android phone and all other required tools are provided
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • Candidates profile and qualifications:

  • A Full UK, manual driving license is mandatory
  • Experience is preferred in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair and basic computer hardware and software knowledge but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Experience preferred with Windows operating systems
  • Experience preferred in general PC hardware and software maintenance
  • Works well with minimal supervision, good problem-solving skills, ability to pick up new skills quickly with the ability to work under pressure
  • High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer facing relationship skills required
  • To be flexible with working shifts as you will be required to work early and late shifts including some weekends and rotating shifts
