Job Overview

:

Travel Administrator needed to provide services to the Office of Naval Research Global (ONR Global) personnel. These services shall perform administrative actions to ensure efficient, compliant temporary duty (TDY) travel.

The primary focus and function of the Travel Administrator are to execute official travel policies as governed by the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and ONR Global instruction.

The Travel Administrator will work closely with the ONR Global Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) and other members of the travel team


Responsibilites Include but are not limited to

:


  • Provide Travel Administration support for the ONR Global offices in Europe, North, and South America. Maintain electronic traveler profiles for travelers. Review and route travel authorizations and vouchers in Defense Travel System (DTS); Prepare authorizations for travelers without DTS accounts who are on Invitational Travel.
  • Deliver administrative support relating to country and theater clearances for ONRG leadership and staff.
  • Assist command leadership and approving officials in adjudicating travel policy questions.
  • Provide coordination, preparation of, and tracking of appointment documents (DD577 forms) for command Approving Officials (AOs). Maintain records of appointments for command AOs.
  • Be wellversed and maintain currency in the JTR and DTS procedures. Retain an uptodate local copy of the JTR.
  • May require some international travel; may require annual travel to the United States.
  • Create and communicate country clearance requests in the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS). Maintain an administrative account in APACS with purview over assigned ONRG travelers.

Qualifications

:


  • Experience and proficiency with commercial software, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams & Excel).
  • Experience and proficiency with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers that include senior military, foreign governments, and international partners
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant field.

U.S. citizens with an active background check or U.K. citizens that will go through background checks are preferred but not required.

  • Locallybased contractor personnel and contractor personnel with current or past experience supporting the current requirement are preferred in order to provide greater continuity and flexibility.

Pay:
£23,704.00-£24,636.00 per year
