    Job Title: Materials Controller

    Location: Aberdeen

    9 Month duration (31/12/2024)

    Inside IR 35 - PAYE

    A Materials Controller is required to work on an initial 9 month contract basis to work a large Operator Company based in Aberdeen.

    As the Materials Controller, you will have the ability to work from home 2 days a week.

    Purpose of Role: Materials Controller


    •A materials controller understands and executes cost effective material sourcing in collaboration with business needs, ensuring that the business has the right materials in the right place at the right time (and of the appropriate quality) to support business operations

    Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES) of a Materials Controller:


    •Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Our Clients HSES Procedures

    Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence of a Materials Controller:


    •Deliver effective supply chain solutions, appropriate to the asset in compliance with company policies / procedures


    • As the Materials Controller you will provide information on materials to both office and site-based stakeholders responsible for both sourcing materials and repairing materials


    •As the Materials Controller you will challenge and influence demand to deliver cost avoidance


    • As the Materials Controller you will support turnarounds, unplanned shutdowns and outages


    •Administer Material Availability and Materials on Time performance


    • As the Materials Controller you will escalate supplier performance matters and contribute to business performance reviews


    •Act as operations Focal Point for all materials queries on Our Clients operational assets


    •Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate inventory levels and serves as a liaison among various departments to provide efficient customer service and resolves difficulties


    •Maintains methods and policies to ensure the most efficient and economical movement of materials


    • As the Materials Controller you will analyses and evaluates problems with materials & inventory to ensure platform requirements are met


    •Ensures resources are best utilized to achieve both short- and long-term goals


    •Preparing and maintaining accurate levels and records of all inventory to ensure optimal inventory is present and ready for use


    • As the Materials Controller you will identifies and optimizes common inventory items


    •Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner


    • As the Materials Controller you will ensure Company, Health and Safety Regulations and policies are adhered to.

    Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc:

    Qualifications:


    •Bachelor's degree in: Economics / Business Law / Industrial Engineering / Business Administration / Finance or a related field are preferred

    Experience:


    •Experience in Inventory and Warehouse Management


    •Experience of delivering solutions with speed and simplicity


    •Experience in influencing demand by analysing and challenging business requirements


    •Strong user of Excel, SAP / Maximo and other systems


    •Understanding of material requirements planning process

    Skills:


    •Highly driven, 'can do', inspiring, able to articulate requirements and deliverables


    •Is understood and is credible with stakeholders


    •Analytical capabilities


    •Is able to build and maintain relationships with Operational teams (to ensure successful delivery of materials, or to agree an alternative where delivery of original products isn't feasible)
