Enfys is an award-winning service currently based in Woodland House in the Heath area of Cardiff.

We are a service for children who are looked after (foster care, residential homes), children who are adopted, and children on the edge of care.

We comprise of clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, graduate mental health workers and admin support.

Enfys is a DDP-informed service that draws on a number of psychological and sensory-based approaches to work in a whole systems approach.

We work in strong partnership with our colleagues in the Local Authority, Education and Health.

We use a training and consultation model to upskill the whole-system to better meet the needs of the children and young people we work for and with.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Psychologist who is looking to develop their clinical work in child trauma, alongside fantastic leadership, supervisory and service development opportunities.

The post-holder will work with families and systems as well as direct work with young people.

The Psychologist will be responsible for leading clinically on the delivery of the service, supervision, training, and creating meaningful and impactful change.

The post holder would lead on service development alongside the clinical leads and build strong partnerships with other leaders in the wider Child Psychology network and beyond.

There will be close working relationships between this post and the equivalent in Enfys' sister service Goleudy (a service that works with the most distressed young people in our region).

Good Honours degree in Psychology with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the BPS

Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the HCPC (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 as accredited by the BPS).

Experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties in an NHS setting
Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan
Experience of teaching/training and/or professional and clinical supervision
Knowledge of the theory and practice of Clinical Psychology in relation to forensic and mental health problems
Evidence of post-qualification continuing professional development as recommended by the HCPC and BPS
