    Main purpose of job To ensure that all company costs and bank account transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.

    Verlingue have established Account teams in Manchester, Staines, London, Gloucester and Redhill. This role will be based in our Redhill team, which is currently made up of 4 finance personnel. The wider team is made up of 10 personnel. Key Accountabilities Setting up and posting purchase invoices and processing payments to banking and accounting systems
    Posting daily cash transactions and reconciling bank accounts, cash books
    Monthly reconciliation of the purchase ledger accounts
    Assisting with mandates and other banking queries
    Daily banking of cheques and updating cheque register
    Assisting with the process of monthly expenses and company credit cards including setting up payments
    Ad hoc tasks depending on month end requirements and business needs
    To ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are compiled to at all times
    To work in partnership with the other teams to ensure the overall delivery of Finance objectives
    To ensure continuous process improvement within area of responsibilities by carrying out periodic reviews of processes and procedures
    To comply with regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice and the Company's own procedures and rules.
    To comply with FCA CASS 5, as updated, client money rules at all times.
    To ensure that any clients with whom you deal with are treated fairly at all times.
    To be aware of and manage any potential conflict of interest.

    To be aware of and report any potential instances of money laundering and financial crime legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the organization.

    Desirable Part qualified or desire to start working towards relevant accountancy qualification (AAT)
    Previous experience in accounts payable or accounts assistant role
