    Description

    As The FP&A Lead, you will work in partnership with stakeholders across the business to provide the analysis and information necessary to support decision making and profitable growth with CAE.

    The role would suit an ambitious qualified accountant with hands on PQE in a similar role, keen to develop their career in a highly growth driven, commercial environment.

    What you will be doing?

    • Lead the production of timely, accurate, and comprehensive budgets and forecasts in partnership with budget holders and stakeholders across the business.
    • Utilise SAP Analytics Cloud for planning and to build reporting packs, including the Board Management Information pack, financial reporting and company KPIs ensuring accuracy and relevance.
    • Support the Finance Director in producing insightful analysis and commentary for monthly management reporting.
    • Utilise spreadsheet modelling for review and analysis of key spend areas and cash flow projections, to meet future investment planning requirements.
    • Maintain reporting restructures and cost centre mapping in line with selling and processing strategies and for accurate data analysis and KPIs. Regular review of spend and rebates, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Actively encourage greater financial understanding across the business by carefully communicating financial information effectively to non-finance managers.
    • Use data to deliver insights into business performance, providing constructive challenge and present findings at all levels in the business including to senior management.
    • Work closely with data owners in other areas of the business to ensure reporting is robust and aligned
    • Maintain commercial awareness and understand key business drivers to support decisions in line with the company strategy.
    • By working as a trusted adviser, promote continuous improvement and cross functional synergies.
    • Assist with Ad hoc project work.

    What is needed?

    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills,
    • FP&A experience
    • Confident and articulate
    • High performing individual with solid career progression
    • Logical and methodical with attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel and modelling skills essential, knowledge of data analytics tools desirable
    • ACCA, degree educated or equivalent
