As an Optical Assistant at this reputable optician practice, you will play an integral role in supporting the team and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting patients with frame selection and advising on suitable eyewear styles based on their preferences and facial features.
  • Conducting preliminary eye tests and measurements, including visual acuity assessments and frame adjustments.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records of patient information, prescriptions, and orders.
  • Assisting with the ordering and management of eyewear inventory, ensuring an uptodate and wellorganized selection.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that patients feel cared for and valued throughout their experience.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as an Optical Assistant or relevant customer service experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A positive and friendly demeanor, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • A willingness to learn and a passion for the eye care industry.
  • Knowledge of eyewear styles and trends would be beneficial.
