£37,099 - £44,263 per annum pro rata (A revised salary range for this grade of £39,347 to £46,974 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Teaching Fellow for the Institute of Design Informatics, School of Design, in applied practice lead specialist areas drawn from a wide field of creative technologies, to support delivery of MA and MSc programmes for the following courses;

  • Histories and Futures of Technology, (Smart Cities).
  • Design with Data, (Data Ecologies).
  • MA dissertation supervision.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Demonstrable industry lead expertise will also be considered
  • Evidence of course development and educational frameworks, with demonstrable understanding of teaching management activities and duties.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in a range of contexts (e.g. teaching, presentations and publications) with strong industry network.
  • Experience of contributing to teaching on a range of degree and postgraduate courses as well as in more specialist areas of relevance to Design Informatics across a range of teaching mediums including online and distance learning.
  • A demonstrable commitment to the principles and practices of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace
