Description
Software Engineer – Electrochemical ModellingThe role will primarily support the development of advanced model parameterisation, battery management system performance algorithms and data analytics in the Battery Intelligence team, for a range of markets including Automotive, Motorsport, Off-Highway, Stationary Storage (ESS), Micro-mobility & Consumer Electronics.
The role will support our clients electrochemical and degradation modelling team in the development, stress testing and validation of high-performance models, algorithms & analytics to maximise the performance and life of battery systems & battery electric fleets.
Mathematical modelling of battery dynamics.Automated unit and integration testing of software.
Automated cloud compute pipelines for data analysis.
Development of automated data pipelines from lab, field, and cloud compute ecosystems.
Development of battery performance algorithms for accurate estimation and/or control of battery states.
Development of data analytics and predictive modelling software tools.
Supporting the use of cloud-based workflows for both MATLAB and Python developers within the Enabling Technologies team.
Supporting the integration of modelling work streams using different programming languages or tools.
Supporting analysis of large datasets from field data and development of data models, scripts, and functions to automate analytics tasks.
Bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum 2:2 (or equivalent) in a relevant STEM subject (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technologies, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.).Experience in MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
Expertise in implementing software testing, git, Devops, and CI/CD processes
Excellent coding processes and collaborative mindset
They will be able to take on new ideas, concepts, and ways of working to meet strict project deadlines
Experience with mathematical modelling
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Experience in high performance team environments
