    Safety Engineer (Senior & Principal levels)

    Bristol, Leicestershire, Berkshire, Cheshire, or North West (hybrid working patterns)

    Permanent

    £44,000 - £75,000 per annum

    SC clearance or willing to undergo

    Our client is a leading nuclear company, and they are looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to develop hazard management strategies, manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities and represent the company when required.

    Experience working in the nuclear sector would be highly beneficial.

    This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site per week.

    The Key Responsibilities of a Senior Safety Engineer:

    • Develop hazard management strategies.
    • Create safety assessments, including Safety Reports.
    • Produce and check calculations, design basis documentation and technical reports.
    • Participate in HAZID / HAZOP studies.
    • Manage the delivery for the work and maintain an overview of progress against cost and programme.
    • Maintain an overview of technical and safety case strategies being delivered.
    • Represent the company externally when required.

    Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Senior Safety Engineer role, however you will not be expected to have everything:

    • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
    • Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward Chartered Status).
    • Experience within safety engineering and hazard management strategies.
    • Experience working with multi-discipline teams.

    The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

    • Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council.
    • Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
