Wecurrently looking for Network Engineer to join our team. This roleis a field based position and will require travelling throughoutthe UK to upgrade and possible relocate the HFC Amplifiers and Tapsand Telco connections whilst minimising customer impact.Person withVirgin Media network engineering background would beideal.

Priorexperience of working with the cable TV industry would be anadvantage but we would be happy to provide all necessary trainingto enthusiastic professional customer oriented candidates comingfrom other backgrounds.

Thisrole will involve external work and as such you should bephysically fit customer focused with excellent communication skillsand a "right first time" attitude to the work youdo.

Requirements

Responsibilitiesandduties

• Upgradingand commissioning of network amplifiers on HFCnetworks
  
• Identifyingnoise ingress on the network using specified testequipment
  
• Identificationof individual active customer drop cables through a CATV toningprocess with corrective measures taken to reducenoise
  
• Selfauditall works and ensure it meets all applicable technical andoperational qualitystandards
  
• Workefficiently and tidily always maintain a clean environment and bepolite to thecustomers
  
• Conductdaily checks of vehicles in line with company fleetpolicy
  
• Conductdaily checks of plant and tools ensure they are safe to use andwhere applicable carry valid calibrationcertificates
