    Job Description

    Role: Junior Analyst

    Salary: £30,000 per annum

    Start Date: 18th June 2024

We are looking for creative, enthusiastic Junior Analysts to join our Entry Level Program. This program is overseen by our OMG UK Advanced Analytics hub, of which this cohort of Junior Analysts will be a part.

While for the duration of the program, these roles will be reporting to our Heads of Advanced Analytics, everyone in the program will take part in quarterly in-agency rotations and spend that period embedded with the agency team. This is a unique opportunity to join a large, fast-growing team that works across an incredibly diverse range of verticals, clients, products, and services whilst taking part in a comprehensive learning and development program. At the end of the program, Junior Analysts will transition into permanent in-agency roles.

On a day-to-day basis, being a part of this program will involve spending three-month rotations embedded in our in-agency analytics teams, working closely with peers from across the analytics community and supporting clients from across the group. Each agency analytics hub has its own distinct leadership structure, client base and agency flavour, although, across the group, we work across standardised methodology, services and learning and development programs. This allows both the variety to service different client and agency needs whilst still providing the benefits of scale, unified investment into product and longer-term career development opportunities.

    Role

OMG Advanced Analytics play a vital role in ensuring that our clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth.

This is an entry level role and will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, wants to apply skills learned academically to real world business questions, and has an ambition to learn and grow in a collaborative team who takes a creative approach to analytic problem solving.

    Responsibilities

    • You will be required to learn a contemporary approach to analytics using a wide range of modelling, data mining, statistical, and machine learning techniques for creative problem-solving.
    • Supporting team members in telling stories with data within presentations and supporting the delivery of data handling
    • It will be expected that you will develop the skills to ensure all output is technically excellent and that all outputs from analysis are fit for purpose, consistent and accurate.
    • Develop relationships not only within your agency team but across the agency and the broader analytics community.

    About You

    • You will be an organised, self-motivated, and proactive individual who has the ability and desire to learn quickly through practical on-the-job experience.
    • You will be a collaborative team play who is willing to ask for help when needed.
    • It is important that you are comfortable in an agency environment where you will have multiple stakeholders to satisfy, varying demands on your time, and plenty of distractions from the analytical work at hand.
    • You should be self-disciplined and able to deliver to a deadline with a solution focussed, forward-thinking and well-organised approach.

    Desirables

Experience in data, analytics, statistics, econometrics, and/or modelling in some form and can demonstrate foundational skills needed to draw insights from data. We don't believe any one tool fits all but look for excellent use of a mix of R, SQL, Python, Excel, PowerPoint, and other approaches.

We want everyone to make the most of the opportunity to shine and showcase your talents and we are happy to make adjustments in the recruitment process so you can be your best. Please discuss any specific requirements with your dedicated Talent Acquisition team member or if you would feel more comfortable, you can email us confidentially at to let us know how we can support you.
