    Are you looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a passionate and inspirational SEND School Leader to join the leadership team at The Springfields Academy and to be a leader within the Trust. Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced senior leader to join our team from September 2024.

    FTE Salary Range: L18 - L22 £71,729 - £78,774

    Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

    About the role

    As Deputy Headteacher at Springfields and a senior leader within the Trust, you will be a team player contributing to the growth and development of our pupils. As a member of the Springfields Leadership team you will collaborate to lead the school to reflect its unique community of pupils, families, and staff. This will be consistent with the values of the Trust. You will lead to inspire learning for children with a diagnosis of autism or speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). Your work will be challenging and rewarding. You will lead within our strong safeguarding culture, wherein pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

    About the successful candidate

    We are seeking an exceptional, visionary Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher and leadership team in a new era of excellence, driving growth and diversification while empowering our SEND pupil population to thrive and achieve aspirational outcomes.

    The Headteacher, Governors and Leadership Team would like a Deputy Headteacher who:

    • Has a clear and compelling vision for education for SEND children and young people.
    • Who collaborates with and works to complement the Headteacher and Leadership team.
    • Has a proven track record of success in leading and transforming schools while driving growth and diversification.
    • Has exceptional leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others and who leads by example.
    • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Considers the mental health and wellbeing of all staff.
    • Has passion for equity and social justice, with a commitment to creating a thriving school community that empowers vulnerable young people with SEND to thrive.

    Springfields Staff would like a Deputy Headteacher who:

    • Is passionate about Springfields and embraces our child-centred ethos.
    • Understands what our autistic pupils need to learn and achieve their potential.
    • Has a good understanding of the curriculum and is able to support and guide staff to be at their best for pupils.
    • Makes time for staff; listens to staff and acts on staff feedback.
    • Is considerate and helpful, and not afraid to step in to support when needed.
