    Merchandise Manager

    Are you looking to effectively lead and build a new merchandise strategy for a growing fashion brand?

    Do you have proven track record of developing a long-term product strategy to deliver and exceed business objectives?

    Can you operate operationally in a fast paced environment?

    MacGregor Black are partnering with a fast growing, independent UK brand in the search for a Merchandise Manager. This is a permanent role based in London.

    Key responsibilities

    • Develop and continually optimise a long-term product merchandising strategy to ensure business revenue targets are met and exceeded through the planning and managing of inventory levels.
    • Collaborate with the buying team and Product Director to build a balanced range in line with customer expectations that reflects the brand strategy, delivering the correct product mixes, price architecture and deliver the right product at the right quantity, to the right store, at the right time.
    • Lead, coach and develop a merchandising team alongside supporting the Product Director and Production Managers in achieving department KPI's and critical path management.
    • Evaluate sales predictions of performance and take appropriate measures in response to forecast changes to ensure maximum performance, profit margins and stock availability in depth / width.
    • Support the Buying team and Product Director in department category planning by season / drop across all regions.
    • Lead weekly stock sales and intake forecasts (WSSI) in season forecasting and markdown maintenance/promotion and strategies to achieve revenue and gross profit margins through performance reaction, risk management and best-selling potentials.
    • Plan and present budgets and sales forecasts for seasonal development and new ranges.
    • Plan stock profiles for seasonal key launch dates in Q4, taking into consideration variety and accessibility of product catalogues, Black Friday, Gifting and Halloween season.
    • Inspire and shape the future product evolution through strong, passionate communication of the drivers in business growth and customer buying trends / demographics.
    • Be forever curious, seize opportunities, and drive strong growth through data driven narratives with strong and direct communication.

    Who we are looking for?

    • Proven experience as a Senior Merchandiser or Merchandising Manager within the fashion industry, preferably E-Commerce focused.
    • Advanced analytical and data driven mindset with impeccable numerate and excel skills.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to quick changes in market demands efficiently, whilst implementing and managing long term merchandising strategies.
    • Proactive, resilient and an excellent communicator.
    • Ability to strategize and plan independently, whilst leading a team and collaborating with wider senior managers across a singular business vision and strategy.
    • Strong decision making and time management skills to prioritise personal workload and that of the team.
    • Commercial knowledge on the alternative marketplace and broader retail businesses.
    • Effective and professional communication with suppliers.
