Assistant Finance Business Partner

Location:
REMOTE with occasional visits to the Lichfield office (once per month)
- Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Assistant Finance Business Partner will assist the Finance Business Partner in providing commercial and financial support to the Regional Managing Directors and their regional teams._
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with the Managing Directors and the regional teams
- Reviewing financial and nonfinancial KPIs with attention to challenging regional management teams on budgets
- Reporting of key financial information on business performance to regional teams and provide advice and support to so that their knowledge and understanding is enhanced
- Preparation and interpretation of financial analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies, as well as improving operational / financial performance of your region
- Provide support to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
- Attend and lead the financial and commercial aspects at meetings
- Respond to queries on financial performance
- Assist in the preparation and review of the annual budget for the regions
- Provide additional support to the FP&A department as required
- Drive continual improvement within finance function
- Provide support in corporate initiatives / projects.
Skills and experience
This person will be a complete finisher, have a clear logical thought process, and be able to interpret complex information and present in a clear and easy to understand format, possess strong IT skills, is able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, can challenge inconsistencies and variances, and be a good communicator at Director level and Operational level.
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA part qualified or equivalent
- Previous Finance experience with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads, be organised, have a flexible working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines
- Excellent communicator and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
- Possess a problem solving, analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work with and model using large datasets with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
