In-House Legal Counsel

Commercial and Regulatory - 3+ PQE

TSR Legal are proud to be working with a full-service commercial Legal 500 firm who now have a brand-new opportunity for a Commercial and Regulatory Solicitor to join this Legal 500 listed team as an In-House Legal Counsel.

Reporting to the Compliance Board, you will provide internal legal counsel to the firm

Main duties will include:

Providing legal counsel to the firm's Compliance Team on legal and regulatory matters related to the firm, including in relation to SRA and data protection matters.
Managing, coordinating and advising upon regulatory returns and responses.
Reviewing and negotiating procurement contracts.
Data protection analysis on suppliers, services and products.
Maintaining the firm's legal documentation (e.g., procurement processes and templates, privacy policies, contract database etc).

You will have a sound, well-rounded knowledge of commercial law and regulatory law, including the legal and regulatory framework applicable to solicitors' practices.

Applicants should be used to working as part of a team as well as leading and managing projects autonomously.

You will need to be experienced at building rapport with clients (in this case the Firm's internal stakeholders) and providing clear and practicaladvice which meets the needs of the firm.
