    We are seeking a dynamic Programme Manager a Human Capital Management (HCM) replacement project. You will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects related to the replacement of Delt and Plymouth City Council's HCM system.

    The role will be hybrid working, with 2 or 3 days a week (on average) on-site. This of course can be flexible and will be dictated to by project requirements.

    This opportunity is expected to commence around mid-May (could be sooner) and will last between 12 and 18 months.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Planning and Initiation: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
    • Vendor Selection and Contract Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors throughout the project lifecycle
    • Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee project activities, manage a dedicated project team, and monitor progress. Conduct regular status meetings, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed
    • Data Migration and Systems Integration: Collaborate with IT and data management teams to plan and execute data migration activities. Ensure seamless integration between the new HCM system and other relevant systems
    • Quality Assurance and User Training: Develop and implement quality assurance processes. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and provide training and support to end-users

    Requirements

    • Proven experience managing HCM replacement or upgrade projects
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Strong project management skills with a strategic mindset
    • Ability to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions
    • Demonstrable planning and organisational skills with risk and issue management expertise
    • Experience working in a professional IT environment and using project management tools
    • Relevant project management qualification (e.g., APM, PMI) is desirable
