Are you used to working outside in a practical hands-on role? Do you have experience of operating and monitoring a process and/or general labouring, farming, groundwork/grounds maintenance or carpentry? If so, we have an opporunity for you as a Plant Operator to join our Operations team in Bioresources North.


What you'll do:

You will operate and maintain advanced sewage and sludge treatment plants to meet quality standards. In Bioresources North, this role covers two sites which includes sludge treatment processes, digestion plant operation and dewatering operations.


Your day-to-day will include:
- monitoring process performance, both out in the field and in the control room, using SCADA systems
- performing routine maintenance of tanks, channels, and equipment
- taking operational samples
- seeking to optimise performance
- ensuring compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures
- ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times.

You will work an 11-hour day shift pattern of four days on, four days off.

Your working hours will include weekends as well as performing standby duties on a regular basis and providing emergency cover if required.


What you'll need:


You will have previous experience of operating and monitoring a process, or general maintenance on electrical or mechanical equipment would be desirable.


You will need to:
- be hard working and enthusiastic to learn new skills and processes
- enjoy working outdoors in all conditions
- have good communication skills
- have a valid full UK manual driving licence
- have a can-do attitude and a flexible approach.


We provide extensive training in confined space working and plant operating as well as other courses suitable to the role.

It would be advantageous if you held a telehandler licence but full training is provided.
