    This is an exciting role in Sheffield City Council, the post holder will take a leading role in promoting placement expansion across South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and strategically minded person to drive work to help us grow the health and social care workforce. The post holder will support work placements within health and social care organisations.

    We are seeking someone with knowledge of adult health and social care, with expertise and understanding of the issues relating to cross-sector placements. This post holder will actively build relationships across South Yorkshire and will work closely with Integrated Care System (ICS), Local Authority and partner agencies to grow the health and social care workforce together as 'One Workforce'.

    There are five distinct areas of focus to the proposed project –

  • Establish professional working relationships and base within Sheffield City Council and counterparts within health settings
  • To map the correlated learning for social care-based placements across South Yorkshire ICS
  • To sustainably increase both the capacity and diversity of learning environments across the social care sector within South Yorkshire ICS that can host pre-registration practice-based / work-based learning placements
  • To sustainably expand the capacity for hosting a greater volume of learners (placements) within existing / established learning environments
  • To improve the quality of learner experience, teaching delivery and opportunities for interprofessional education during practice-based / work-based learning placements

    The post is City Centre based and currently includes a mix of office based, visits and home working. The post holder is also expected to travel to locations across South Yorkshire.
