    We develop, own and operate renewable power production facilities, and are also involved in the trading and origination of power, gas, and renewable certificates from our own projects and those of third parties.

    We are now looking for a Senior Quantitative Analyst to lead our UK Retail Portfolio Management.

    You will be part of the UK Power desk and thereby join one of the best Portfolio Management teams in the business.

    In particular, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of the best Retail Portfolio Management tool base in the industry.

    Leading our quantitative effort, you will monitor our Retail Portfolio, detect emerging issues, prioritise activities, and develop and maintain tools to analyse and assess the physical and financial exposures embedded in our UK Retail Portfolio.

    Portfolio Management works in partnership with the Origination teams building a competitive edge for our commercial business through state of the art position analysis and deal management, as well as complex deal valuation and pricing.

    Identify the risks relating to the Retail portfolio.
    Build tools and processes for monitoring critical portfolio risks
    Manage the Retail Pricing Desk (Price fixings etc)
    Actively support the Retail Origination Team in deal development.
    Perform all the retail deal pricing
    Work closely with the Portfolio management and Portfolio trading teams and own the deployment pipeline and cloud servers.

    This position offers a rare opportunity to build a career and expand your experience into an operational role in assisting in the management of our UK retail portfolio.

    Together with the team and other stakeholders develop the long-term target picture for the activity, break this down into smaller activities, and allocate these as clearly defined tasks to the team.

    Own and operate tools and models, testing frameworks with these respective models and work collaboratively across the Portfolio Management team and other teams within Statkraft
    Assume responsibility for writing code and developing models to manage a portfolio of retail customers (requires Python skills and good working knowledge of REST API, C#, VSTO and SQL)
    Analyse, innovate, develop and optimise the models used by the Portfolio Management team to ensure that they work efficiently and effectively with the aim of reducing the cost of position management within the business
    Bachelor / master's degree in a quantitative discipline - preferably in physics, computer science or mathematics

    Proven track record of coding and development experience with Python and SQL
    Relevant work experience with an energy trading business would be advantageous, although not essential
    Experience with C#; Excellent English language skills, both verbally and written
