    Job Summary: As a General Handyman at our clients garage based in Inverness, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring the efficient operation of daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include cleaning work areas, tidying the yard, performing minor repairs as needed, and assisting with general maintenance duties as directed by supervisors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleaning and organizing workshop areas, including floors, workbenches, and equipment, to maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
    • Tidying the yard by removing debris, organizing storage areas, and maintaining cleanliness around the premises.
    • Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment, tools, and facilities as required.
    • Emptying bins and managing waste disposal in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
    • Assisting mechanics and technicians with tasks as needed, such as moving equipment, fetching supplies, or supporting vehicle inspections.
    • Following health and safety guidelines and wearing appropriate protective gear while performing tasks.
    • Reporting any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
    • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and completion of tasks within deadlines.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a similar handyman or maintenance role is preferred but not required; candidates with relevant skills and a proactive attitude will be considered.
    • Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques for equipment, facilities, and grounds.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
    • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
    • Flexibility to work the specified hours and potentially extend hours or work additional days based on business needs.
