About the team:

Our Accounting team is responsible for posting, analysing and reporting the financial results of the business in a well-controlled, accurate and timely manner. We are looking an Accountant to join the team and help drive our operational and strategic goals.

About the role:

Working closely with the wider Accounting team and Settlement Operational organisations in the UK as well as local teams in the LATAM region, this accountant will drive the timely posting, reporting and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financials. Working with large volumes of data the accountant will provide analysis for multiple statutory entities with a focus on Worldpay's LATAM Acquiring platform.

The LATAM region is ramping up expansion of product offerings and new territories, which requires involvement in several ongoing projects which the accountant will be a primary contributor to. The successful applicant will become a Subject Matter Expert in the region and will be confident driving the accounting requirements and being a key stakeholder for testing and implementation.

What you will be doing:

• Use financial data to prepare, post and analyse general ledger journal entries.

• Challenge reporting from the Acquiring Platform to ensure accuracy of the data.

• Represent and champion the accounting team in projects

• Support with preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Analyse financial statements and provide concise explanations for variances, research period over period variances providing logical explanations for fluctuations.

• Internal and external audit reporting supporting quarterly and yearend audit requirements.

• Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as requested.

What you will need:

• Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) / QBE (qualified by experience)

• Knowledge of accounting principles, management accounts and reconciliations experience

• Proactive self-starter attitude

• Project experience

• Internal/external audit experience.

• Advanced MS Excel skills

• Strong written and verbal communications skills

Added bonus if you have:

• Oracle, RADAR or Tableau experience
