Classroom Assistant - Immediate Start in Wanstead

The Supply Room is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join a lovely school in providing exceptional support to Key Stage 1 students in the welcoming community of Wanstead.
Role and Responsibilities:
Assist Classroom Teacher:
Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of KS1 students.
Small Group Support:
Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing learning concepts and helping to address areas of difficulty.
Resource Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are organised and readily accessible for classroom activities.
Supervision:
Supervise students during class activities, transitions, and breaks, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents, fostering positive relationships and providing feedback on student progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
Patience and Empathy:
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the learning and well-being of young children.
Teamwork:
Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Adaptability:
Be flexible and adaptable, able to respond to the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
Initiative:
Show initiative and a proactive approach to supporting classroom activities and meeting the needs of students.
