Location:
London, Suffolk, Bristol or Gloucester (hybrid working arrangements).


Employment type:
Permanent full-time/ part-time.


Employment basis:
The role is expected to be a full
- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part
- time approach where possible.


Salary

:

The Opportunity

:

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.

The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024.

When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.


We currently have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Finance Business Partner located near to Sizewell C.

You'll be working with the wider finance team but also the delivery teams close to the project, optimising financial performance and return on investment for stakeholders.

You'll be empowered to ensure accurate and robust cost information and will have direct responsibility for challenging the business.


Our teams are set up to work flexibly and we provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively, so long as you're able to travel to the office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required.


The Role

:


You'll be a collaborative business partner, working with the other finance teams under the CFO but also with the other Project Support teams of HR, Supply Chain and Project Controls as well as the Delivery portion of the project.


You'll support the SZC Financial Control Manager and SZC Leadership team to optimise financial performance and return on investment for stakeholders.

You'll be empowered to ensure accurate and robust cost information and will have direct responsibility for challenging the business.


The Skills

:

You'll be a commercially focused, proactive, strategic thinker with a core understanding of financial principles. You combine your technical and financial expertise with knowledge of the external commercial environment and industry, the business entity and its operating model, objectives and challenges

Large
- scale construction or infrastructure project experience is always a bonus, as is commercial awareness of the energy sector.
