Elite have partnered with a hugely successful, trend lead fashion brand, to support on the hire of a Fabric Designer to join their London team.

Job Overview:

As the Fashion Fabric Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and developing fabric patterns and prints that align with our brand's aesthetic and market trends. You will work closely with the design team to create innovative textile designs that enhance the appeal of our fashion products. Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong understanding of textiles and printing techniques are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Fabric Research and Creative Aesthetic Control:

• Organise and guide teams in fabric development and design work, formulate fabric research and development plans, lead teams in creative design, and promote the research and improvement of new fabrics.
• Stay updated on industry dynamics and technological trends, adjust research and development directions in a timely manner, and ensure that products keep pace with market trends.

Fabric Research and Development Cost Management:

• Manage the budget and costs of fabric development, supervise and control the reasonableness of costs, and ensure the completion of design and production tasks within budget.

Trend Analysis and Consumer Demand Insight:

• Collect the latest trends from international runways, fabric forward trends, and hot-selling fashion items, promptly understand consumer VOC (Voice of Customer), and explore potential consumer needs.
