    We are looking for anenthusiastic, adaptable and organised Pharmacy Technician Higher Level Intermediate careto join ourprofessional team in West Kent.

    Main duties of the job

    To provide technical support to the KCHT intermediate care services with a focus on community hospitals to enable the provision and development of pharmaceutical services, which includes clinical support.

    You will be expected to become familiar with the four community hospitals in the west Kent locality, and to develop close working relationships with the staff of each of these four community hospitals.

    Applications from recently qualified Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians welcome, if successful at the interview would be taken on in a band 4 to 5 development role.

  • Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience
  • Desirable

  • Experience in an acute hospital in Medicines management
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • NVQ/BTEC allowing registration with the GPhC
  • Desirable

  • Regionally Accredited qualification in Medicines Management at Intermediate Level or historical equivalent (Regionally Accredited Consultation Skills plus Medicines Management Skills). Practice supervisors' course or equivalent.

  • Experience of practical medicines optimisation issues

  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in performing audits and participating in projects pertaining to the development and maintenance of service improvements

  • Able to problem solve by obtaining relevant information and making decisions based on the information.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office products, internet systems
