The role will also help develop clear and compelling cases to effect change with local and national government.
We are looking for somebody with a strong understanding of current issues and challenges within policing, fire and rescue services and the wider criminal justice system, somebody who has a keen eye for detail, is educated to degree level or with an equivalent level of experience and has the proven ability to effect major policy development.
The ability to lead and effect major policy development.
Attention to detail, with the ability to work both quickly and accurately to a consistently high standard under pressure.
Educated to degree level or possessing equivalent relevant experience.
It would be desirable, however not essential, for applicants to have previous experience or knowledge on legislative and policy framework in which the PFCC operates, an understanding of public sector governance arrangements and Experience of operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
The PFCC offers agile working which designates that certain roles can offer flexibility in terms of place of work, including some home working.
Please note that security vetting is a prerequisite of employment by the PFCC and that all posts within the PFCC's office are politically restricted in accordance with the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £41,928.00.
