PCB Design Engineer - Gloucestershire - £50,000 - £65,000 pa

I'm working with a manufacturer who specialises in Unmanned systems for government and military use, specialising in Drone technology.

They are looking for an experienced a PCB Design Engineer who can work autonomously and join their R & D team.

Responsibilities:

PCB Design and Layout:

• Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for UAV control systems and related electronics.
• Full PCB Layout of a range of technologies and boards (simple, complex multi-layer, rigid/flexi-rigid, surface mount, RF etc.)

Collaboration and Communication:

• Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the successful fabrication and assembly of PCBs.

Prototype Development:

• Build and test prototypes to validate and iterate on PCB designs.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Degree In Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Complex, multi-layer PCB Design
• High Speed Circuits
• Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Nice to have's /Non Essentials:

• Aerospace or Defence Experience
• Robotics Experience
