Purchasing Administrator
Hybrid working, office in Cradley Heath

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful organisation, who is growing again, so fantastic opportunities for prospects

Working from the office 2 to 3 days per week, then the rest at home

Full time Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week and anytime from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm (so if started at 7.30 pm, finish at 3.30 pm, if wanted to start at 9am be until 5pm, flexibility with start and finish times)


JOB SUMMARY
Assisting the Purchasing Manager and the team with the below duties, if you have not worked in a purchasing department before, then they are seeking someone in a very busy admin/customer services role dealing with clients, as you will have to call companies to chase items, or someone who has had a busy role and used to various tasks such as recruitment office etc and who is efficient and organised,


JOB ROLE
Supplier order book management

Admin and maintenance of all purchase orders for raw material and subcontract orders

Raise purchase orders

Manage and process order confirmations from suppliers

Expediting purchase orders

Producing reports

Supplier RFQs

Dealing with supplier quality issues and calling to chase

Updating the database and SAP system

Ensure shipping documents are received, including packing lists ahead of despatch of material.

Booking deliveries


SALARY AND BENEFITS
£24,000 to £29,000 per annum dependent upon experience

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products
  • Analyze pricing proposals and make recommendations for cost savings
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in supply chain management

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and logistics
  • Proficient in using Oracle EBS or similar purchasing software
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Salary:
£24,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
