- Day to day support for the Finance Manager
- Review and challenge outbase reporting from 3 outbases and identify and deal with discrepancies
- Reconciliation for payroll, agency and fuel on a weekly basis
- Completing weekly analysis of driver hours for radial and trunking routes
- Raising Purchase Orders for the contract
- Review and challenge operational information for the Finance Manager
- Processing of journals at period end
- Raising of sales ledger invoices at the beginning and end of each period
- Provide holiday cover for the Finance Manager in producing the weekly customer accounts
- Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACA/CIMA)
- Sound business knowledge and a willingness to learn and to apply that knowledge
- Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the overall contract performance
- Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance
- Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
- Must be flexible and appropriately responsive to internal and external customer requests
- Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels
- Have good PC skills and be able to understand and harness IT and systems to benefit the operation

We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant/ Data Analyst to join our site at Staffordshire. As the contract is open book the successful candidate will play a significant part in providing first class support operationally and commercially to the customer. Salary is £25-£30k depending on experience.
