A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Compliance Coordinator to join a truly fantastic law firm in the City.

This law firm has a centralised client and matter commencement service for their clients, that is the team in which this Coordinator role sits.


The role:


  • The successful Legal Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for client onboarding and managing queries that come through to the team, from clients and staff alike
  • Reviewing and processing client and matter inception documentation for both new and existing clients
  • Assessing whether a client, own interest or confidentiality conflict exists in a new or existing matter
  • Conducting electronic searches and assessing the client due diligence (CDD) / enhanced due diligence (EDD) requirements for individual clients, this could involve sanctions and PEP checks
  • Conducting searches, analysis and risk assessment related to antimoney laundering (AML)

About you:


  • The successful Legal Compliance Coordinator will have six months' prior compliance experience in another law firm
  • Experience conducting conflict searches in another law firm would be particularly beneficial
  • Experience handling AML enquiries would also be helpful
  • Ability to identify the client due diligent requirements of corporate and individual clients
  • A good understanding of the SRA Standards and Regulations
  • Experience of and being comfortable working with case management and other systems
  • Ability to build, maintain and nurture relationships

In return:


In return, you will receive a salary of £28,000-£32,0000 per annum and a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
