Description
At Badu you will work towards your Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship L2 Qualification over the course of 12-18 Months.

  • Deliver a first class provision of multisports across
various schools and sporting clubs across London.

  • Follow session planning to ensure consistency,
taking guidance and direction from the lead and
head coach.

  • Building relationships with children and adults.
  • Using appropriate language, behaviour and
ensuring demeanour is suitable and professional.

  • The Company will expect you to undertake
training to ensure an understanding of best
practice in relation to Children and/or Adults at
Risk.

  • To follow safeguarding policies and procedures as
outlined by BADU Sports Foundation and report
any safeguarding/welfare incidents that may take
place during, before and after a session to the
relevant officer, as well as the production of risk
assessments for every session.

  • Follow Badu curriculum and provide assessments
at the end of each unit

  • You must represent BADU Sports and BADU
Community in a professional manner at all times
and only work on activities organised and led by

Desired Skills


You must be enthusiastic about wanting to work within the sport and physical activity sector and be committed to inspiring others to be more physically active.

No prior coaching experience is required, but a willingness to learn, work hard and challenge yourself is essential.


Personal qualities
This is an apprenticeship programme, designed to help
you gain skills and experience 'on the job.' We aren't
looking for any previous coaching qualifications or
experience but certain personal qualities and
characteristics are a must (see below)
Successful applicants will be assisting and delivering sport
and physical activity sessions in the community. Your
sessions may be the highlight of their week
- so you will
need to be reliable, enthusiastic, energetic and
committed


Qualifications required

  • Missed out on getting your Maths and English
GCSE's? Don't worry
need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 before you
finish the apprenticeship. Our Learning Coaches can
support you with this so don't let this put you off
