The Education Directorate has a statutory responsibility to raise standards and achievement for all learners in Blaenau Gwent, and to promote social inclusion and wellbeing through effective evaluation, support and, where necessary, through intervention. We are looking for a School Improvement Officer to join our team to help meet this responsibility.

We do this by placing children and young people's voices at the heart of all we do, and by working closely with our education workforce, communities and other key stakeholders to ensure that they are consulted with and well-informed.
We are looking for a School Improvement Officer who can support our schools to provide relevant, inspirational and aspirational learning opportunities for all learners and to provide effective and responsive school support services.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of the role.
