    POST: CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT FELLOW TRAUMA & ORTHOPAEDICS

    BASE: 1 YEAR GLASGOW ROYAL INFIRMARY

    Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Development Fellows in Trauma & Orthopaedics for the North Sector of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. These posts would suit post foundation doctors or doctors interested in developing their CV towards core surgical or run-through orthopaedic training.

    The Clinical Development Fellows are placed within a clinical area through a team based system with the posts affording successful applicants the opportunity to gain experience in both theatre and clinics. Supervision and training will be provided to enable the Fellows to develop their clinical skills. Postholders will be expected to participate fully in the work of the department/team and banding will be appropriate to intensity of the rota.

    The successful candidates will agree the development area when they take up post. It is anticipated that the development elements would typically be in areas such as research, management, quality improvement or teaching.

    The posts are available from August 2024 for a period of 1 year. It is essential that candidates have completed foundation training or have equivalent overseas service.

    To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
