    The Role / Position Overview

    The Marketing Assistant role is a new role within the Performance Marketing team. The role will support the digital marketing team in the promotion of high profile commercial content marketing campaigns (both FT editorial and our advertising partner's content); including promotion through display and native advertising, email and social media. The role offers a valuable opportunity to break into the UK media industry in a dynamic team which is at the forefront of the FT's commercial proposition.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic digital marketer who combines creativity, analysis and project coordination skills. The focus of the role will be to work on email marketing, display advertising, analytics, print media and reporting and providing support on ongoing digital projects.

    The Performance Marketing (PMK) team is made up of some of the best Digital Marketers and Paid Media specialists in the industry; with team members in the UK, New York and Tokyo. Our commitment to you is that you will gain valuable experience working across multiple parts of the marketing mix and learn something new everyday.

    This role is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity anticipated to start in May 2024.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Support a global team of Marketing Managers and Marketing Executives in the delivery of commercial content marketing campaigns. This includes: Working with multiple stakeholders to manage the execution of print, email, and onsite marketing activityWork with copywriters to develop marketing copyWork with the Creative Services team to produce onsite and offsite marketing creativesMonitor the performance of the campaigns on social media and suggest performance optimisationsReporting and analysis of campaign performance (using FT Web Analytics, Google Analytics, Social Media etc.).Participate in weekly status calls with the global PMK and Project Management teams

  • Required Skills / Experience

  • A passion for digital marketing and advertising with awareness of digital marketing trends and best practice
  • Flexible and hard working – with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and work to deadlines (with support from the team)
  • A high degree of numeracy and an analytical mindset
  • Good creative judgement and copywriting skills
  • Accountable, resilient and action-orientated
  • Collaborative nature with the ability to work within a team
  • A good communicator with the ability to work with different stakeholders in different teams
  • Ability to demonstrate a "can do" attitude
  • Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience working in a marketing role
  • Experience using social media advertising, YouTube, Google AdWords and Google Analytics
