    Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate at over 31 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia.

    Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager based at our new, state of the art, head office facilities in Kincardine.

    THE ROLE

    We are looking for an experienced commercial professional who will provide leadership, support, and empowerment to our sales team while working collaboratively with our operations, logistics, and technical teams to maximise sales, manage risk and support the future growth of our business.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Internal sales activities, monitoring, analysis and co-ordination of business development activities.
    • Provide leadership and support to the commercial team driving a proactive approach to maximising sales.
    • Stay abreast of market conditions and identifying new business opportunities.
    • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
    • Define and negotiate contract terms and rates, author/procure contracts, and establish new business streams, managing risk and opportunity throughout.
    • Investigate and resolve customer issues, liaising between customer, internal departments and external agencies.
    • Negotiate contract renewals.


    WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU

    • Strong commercial experience and a proven track record of maximising sales.
    • Experience motivating and leading teams.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability articulate yourself in a professional manner.
    • Tender writing experience.
    • Excellent negotiation skills.
    • Experience managing commercial risk.
    • Ability to work collaboratively at all levels within our business to add value through decision making and problem solving.
