    Job Description:

    We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite maintenance technician to join our team. Ferring Controlled Therapeutics is a pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development subsidiary of Ferring Pharmaceuticals, located in East Kilbride, Scotland. Having recently acquired an additional site, the organisation is experiencing an exciting phase of growth and opportunity. You will be based onsite and the role will work on a shift rotation basis.

    Working as part of a team and reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this varied and dynamic role will support the maintenance of manufacturing and packaging equipment. Carrying out planned maintenance according to work schedules, coordinating site visits with contractors. Reacting to breakdowns and providing technical solutions are all part of the day to day.

    Key Responsibilites

  • Attends preventive actions systems for tools machines and equipment
  • Ongoing maintenance work according to plans
  • Provide Production with needed technical solutions and problem solving, to ensure production
  • Train & share knowledge with other technicians in order to improve collaboration
  • Coordinating workflow with all relevant disciplines
  • Coordination and supervision of services given by providers and suppliers
  • Practical mechanical technician / equivalent English at level sufficient level for reading manuals and interacting with machinery & service providers
  • Required Skills & Experience:

  • HNC/D in Mechanical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to both work alone and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrable understanding of working to Company SOPs and health and safety requirements
  • Follow Health & Safety requirements
  • Problem solving ability
  • Desirable:

  • Experience working in a GMP and/or pharmaceutical environment
  • SAP experience
